Dexter boasts Michigan's oldest continuously running cider mill. The well-known Terry B's is one of Washtenaw County's most unique restaurants.

Surrounding Dexter, the Huron Clinton Metropark system offers three park areas for camping, hiking, cross-country skiing, golf and family outings. And for guaranteed family fun, the Spring Valley Trout Farm is here. There are a number of lakes close by, and the Huron River forms the northern border of the village.
