HAAB'S, an Ypsilanti tradition, was established in 1934 by Oscar and Otto Haab. Over the years, HAAB'S has built a reputation for quality food served in a friendly, warm atmosphere at affordable prices. Now, you may not find a peach champagne sauce with a touch of mustard dill or other fancy terms, but you will find the largest batter dipped mushrooms in the county, dry aged USDA prime beef, and pork chops that are center cut, smoked, and then broiled to give them a one of a kind taste. In other words, we serve our meals in a simple and traditional way. Instead of hiding the taste of our food behind an overpowering sauce, our style is straightforward and honest.

In many aspects, our menu today is similar to our 1934 menu with certain changes being made to accommodated the wants and wishes of our customers. Our seafood menu has become increasingly popular over recent years due to crowd favorites such as fresh whitefish and coho salmon.

Although our seafood menu has received high praise, we have not forgotten that our steaks have served as our backbone to success. From our prime filet mignon to our steak kabob with fresh broiled vegetables, we carefully select our steak to appeal to the more discriminating steak lover.

    Our menu also includes:
  • house specialties
  • a tempting dessert menu
  • appetizers
  • and a full bar
We offer carry out, accept reservations and welcome large groups.

Take a step back in time and join us for a relaxing and enjoyable meal at HAAB'S.
