Underground Railroad Tour
Launched in early 2002 by the African American Cultural and Historical Museum of Washtenaw County, this unprecedented tour takes tour-goers along the "Journey to Freedom", featuring 32 stops in Washtenaw County, including the site where one of Michigan's first abolitionist newspapers was printed.
Chelsea Milling Company
Ever wonder how America's first pre-packaged baking mix is made? Well find out with this exclusive tour of the Chelsea Milling Company. Participants are taken on a guided tour of the facilities and everyone is sent home with a souvenir!
Outdoors Tour
Visit the Gerald E. Eddy
Discovery Center at Waterloo Recreation Area, which will
introduce you to the fascinating world of geology in our area
including maps, history and habitat. Or walk among the 300 acres of U of M Matthaei Botanical
Gardens featuring a display of outdoor gardens.
Depending on the weather, enjoy the 10,000 square foot
indoor conservatory. End
the day by dropping a line at the Spring Valley Trout Farm,
where tour participants are guaranteed a fresh catch at this
spring-fed fish farm!
