When awesome travel bloggers visit Ann Arbor, we do our best to show them a great time! Recently, Amanda Williams from A Dangerous Business came to see what Tree Town is all about, and we had a great time showing her around.

On the agenda was a tour of downtown and the interesting murals and street art throughout the city, plus stops at some of our favorite eateries (can't go wrong with Knight's Steakhouse or Arbor Brewing Company, right?) and shops (no visit to Ann Arbor is complete without a stroll through Nickels Arcade or down Main Street). We were also excited that Amanda was interested in checking out Nichols Arboretum - it was a gorgeous summer day, so this botanical space was in its full glory.

Here's what Amanda had to say about her trip in Reason #1:

"Downtown Ann Arbor is unlike any “college town” I've ever visited or lived in before. Instead of dive bars and fast food joints, Ann Arbor's downtown is home to historic theaters, vintage clothing shops, independent bookstores, street art, a couple craft breweries, and lots of unique restaurants.

Ann Arbor has a creative, youthful vibe, but without feeling like your stereotypical university town. There's a reason that it's consistently named among the most livable cities in America."

See the other four reasons to visit Ann Arbor, and keep an eye out for more from Amanda over the next several months!
