overview

The second Saturday in June is once again THE day to explore gorgeous gardens for a great cause, as the Ann Arbor Garden Walk™, hosted by Ann Arbor Farm & Garden (AAF&G), returns after a three-year hiatus.
The nonprofit organization is celebrating its 30th Garden Walk with an incredible line-up featuring five unique private gardens, a small-scale organic local farm, and a native plant nursery.
Among the private gardens, Walkers will discover a certified nature habitat, an Underground Railroad site with historic significance, a creekside retreat tended for more than 25 years, and a beautifully whimsical landscape where dinosaurs roam. The 2023 Walk will also revisit a past favorite, a lovely garden and studio where creativity (and fairies) abound.
At Green Things Farm and Feral Floral (co-located), Walkers will get a behind-the-scenes look into organic farming and propagation, and meet the passionate people committed to promoting local food, flowers, and environmental sustainability.
A special feature of this year’s event will be a plant table featuring splits and divisions of perennials from the gardens of Ann Arbor Farm & Garden members. Donations will be accepted.
From noon to 3 pm, Walkers can purchase tasty treats at Garden 4 from The Treat Truck, an Ann Arbor-based company featuring 100% vegan soft serve ice cream, floats, Italian ice, and baked goods.
Garden Walk tickets are on sale exclusively online May 12 through June 8 at www.annarborfarmandgarden.org. Advance tickets are $15 per person through June 1; $20 per person June 2-8 and at the gate (cash/check only). Youth (13+) tickets are $5. Children under 13, free admission. A group discount will be applied for a single purchase of 8 or more tickets. Online sales close June 8.
Purchasers will receive an email receipt with full event details. This receipt must be presented at the first garden location visited to receive a wristband for entry into all locations. No printed ticket will be provided; the map and garden descriptions will be available online. The Walk is self-guided.
Proceeds from the Ann Arbor Garden Walk fund Ann Arbor Farm & Garden’s annual grant and scholarship awards, which support local garden and farm projects and education. AAF&G has raised and distributed more than $650,000 within the community since its founding in 1947.
