Introduce your child to stamps, learn the value of that old album, see collection displays, and buy US and foreign stamps and postal history at the Ann Arbor Stamp Show.
At the heart of Michigan’s second largest stamp show are 28 stamp, cover, and collector supplies dealers from nine states, some as far as Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Kentucky. Two postcard dealers are added this year. Also, collectors display exhibits of stamps and postal history by country and topic. A youth area has free stamps for beginners. The US Postal Service (a show co-sponsor) and United Nations Postal Administration have recent issues for sale.
Additional features include a Peninsular State Philatelic Society meeting Saturday at 2 p.m., cachet makers showing their art, and an American Topical Association table. Those wanting lunch or a snack can purchase it from MiRcore, an Ann Arbor Huron High School student group raising money for genetic research to overcome disease.
Sponsored by the Ann Arbor Stamp Club. Parking and admission are free; sign-in registration required.
