Autophysiopsychic Millennium (APPM), a 10+ piece performance ensemble collective that focuses on Afrofuturism through the lens of Dr. Yusef Lateef, an innovator in the African American tradition of autophysiopsychic music - that which comes from one’s spiritual, physical and emotional self. This residency offers several public opportunities to engage with the group including a panel discussion, open workshop, and sonic convocation. Presented by the Center for World Performance Studies, School of Music, Theatre & Dance, and the U-M Arts Initiative.
