Come join us for Donya Kiana's farewell to Michigan show & goodbye party! Joined by her full band: Billy King, Jordan Adema, Ryan Shea, and Carol Palms.
Donya's music is nuanced, blending a strong vocal and dynamic instrumentation with elements of folk, indie, Irish ballads, classical, and pop, resulting in a unique and mesmerizing sound that captivates listeners. Jordan Adema, her long-time friend and violinist, has accurately labeled this sound as “Cemetary Folk”. Donya’s lyrics tell the stories of struggle, exploring themes of loss, reflection, observation, and determination. With a voice that is both soulful and haunting, she effortlessly communicates emotions, leaving her audience deeply moved with a sense of longing. Her passion for authenticity has been fueled by multiple inspiring visits to Europe in recent years, leading her to an exciting new chapter.
After years of dedicated performances in Michigan, Donya has made the decision to move to London this April, realizing her dream of performing her original music in ancient venues across Europe.
