Motawi Make-a-Tile and More

Motawi Tileworks will host several events for art enthusiasts on Saturday, July 23: an outdoor Make-a-Tile workshop, an outdoor raku tile-firing and takeaway, and an indoor Staff Art Sale.

Make-a-Tile Workshop: Drop in to carve your own tile at an outdoor workshop hosted by Motawi experts. The cost is $5 for the first tile, $10 for each additional tile and $15 to ship (if preferred to pickup). Tiles will be glazed in Caribbean Blue.

Raku Tile Takeaway: Drop by the neighboring tent for outdoor raku tile-firing with Rovin Ceramics (a Motawi company). Choose your tile, glaze it with the color of your choice, then witness this Japanese pottery-firing process firsthand. The cost is $15; limit one tile per guest.

Staff Art Sale: Inside The Tileworks, Motawi artisans will display their own work for sale. Shop locally made ceramics, jewelry, woodwork, mixed-media works and more.
