Oosterbaan Field House

CONSTRUCTED: 1980

Oosterbaan Field House serves as the indoor home playing field for lacrosse and is used by U-M athletics for indoor practices for a variety of sports. The university's intramural and club sports programs also use the facility, which is located across the parking lot from Yost Ice Arena and behind Schembechler Hall on State Street.

Constructed in 1980, Oosterbaan Field House features two end-line filming stations, a climate-controlled playing/spectator environment and sideline seating for 800 people. Recently added endzone seating provide accommodations for an additional 200 fans and offer a unique view of the game.

The building is joined to Schembechler Hall (which houses the Michigan football team) and the recently built Al Glick Field House (football's main practice facility). Featuring a state-of-the-art FieldTurf™ surface, Oosterbaan's enclosed practice and playing area provides year-round, full-field training and development opportunities.
