Saline will celebrate its 19th annual Oktoberfest in honor of the area's historic culture. This family-friendly event offers delicious food vendors, the best beer, shopping, games, wiener dog races, and more throughout this two-day celebration.
Friday Events
Golden Keg Kickoff
Be there for the official event kickoff! Watch as locals, dressed in their German best, escort the Golden Keg into the event, ringing the famous bell and inviting folks to share a brew. Begins at 6:30 PM.
Deutscher Kleider Contest
Wear your best leiderhosen and join in this family friendly pageant and contest! Be at the event by 5:40 PM to participate.
Saturday Events
The event begins at 10 AM and features a nonstop highlight of events. Get in early to purchase your mouth-watering, legendary pretzels.They go quickly! Here's what to expect:
Wiener Dog Races
Do not miss the popular Oktoberfest tradition of electrifying Wiener Dog Races! Cheer on these furry friends as they pitter-patter their way to gold medal glory. Event organizers recommend leaving your pets at home after 7 PM due to loud noises and safety hazards.
Kinderplatz
Expect free kids' activities and select vendors on from 10 AM - 2 PM on North Ann Arbor Street. All are welcome!
Entertaiment
Bring your 'tanzschuhe' (or dancing shoes) and show off your best moves as live music by Phoenix Theory, Fifty Amp Fuse, and authentic German sounds play throughout the event.
Hammerspiel Tournament
For attendees looking to show off their muscles while having fun, enter the Hammerspiel tournament. Swing a blacksmith’s hammer and claim victory in this 1800s game. Registration starts at 5 PM, $5 entry.
