7th Annual UA ITP Cornhole Tournament
Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH MY REGISTRATION?
Every registration gets you full access to the event! This includes a minimum of 3 games of tournament play, 2 drink tickets, access to the food station, and open play on the volleyball and bocce ball courts.
HOW MANY PLAYERS ARE ON A TEAM?
Teams consist of two players. When registering, you will have the opportunity to add your teammates name. If you are looking for a partner, leave that field blank and we will connect you with another solo player.
WHICH DIVISION SHOULD I REGISTER FOR?
Competitive Division: Do you have your own custom bags? Do you practice your airmails? This is the spot for you. Bring your A-game and compete against the best players.
Social Division: For the casual tailgaters and weekend warriors. If you’re more focused on hanging out, connecting with other UA ITP participants, and enjoying the entertainment rather than throwing a perfect four-bagger, join us here!
I DON’T WANT TO PLAY CORNHOLE; CAN I JUST COME AND SPECTATE?
Yes! A $25 spectator ticket is available for purchase and includes entry into the event, access to the food station, 2 drink tickets, and access to the open play areas
HOW MANY GAMES ARE WE GUARANTEED TO PLAY?
Our tournament format ensures that every team will play at least 3 games. Because we are operating on a strict timeline, the exact number of total games will depend on the final number of registered teams.
CAN I BRING MY OWN CORNHOLE BAGS?
While bags will be provided at all courts, yes, players are welcome to bring their own ACL-approved bags.
Official Specification Standards
- The cornhole bags shall be made from two fabric squares 6½ x 6½ inches with a ¼-inch stitched seam on all four sides.
- The thickness of the bag, when lying flat on a hard surface, should be approximately 1 inch (+-⅛-in) thick.
- Each bag shall be filled with plastic pellets or corn feed. Finished bags should be roughly 6 inches square and weigh 14-16.25 ounces.
WHAT ARE THE OFFICIAL SCORING RULES?
We will use standard cornhole scoring (3 points for a bag in the hole, 1 point for a bag on the board, with cancellation scoring applied). To keep the tournament running on schedule, matches will be played to 21 points OR a 20-minute time limit, whichever comes first.
WILL THERE BE FOOD AND DRINK PROVIDED?
Yes! Each registration includes 2 complimentary drinks and access to the event food station. Additional beverages are available at the attendee’s expense.
HOW DO I FIND MY COURT, SEE WHO I’M PLAYING, AND SUBMIT MY SCORE?
We are using the Scoreholio app to manage the entire tournament in real time. Here is exactly how it works:
Players receive automatic push notifications with their court number and opponent details when they’re up next.
DO I HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THE SCOREHOLIO APP?
Yes, at least one player from each team is required to download the Scoreholio app. This is how teams will know when they’re up, which court they’re assigned, and how they will input their score at the end of each game.
IS THERE PARKING ONSITE?
Yes. There is ample free parking available at Wolverine Pickleball.
CAN I SIGNUP FOR THE TOURNAMENT ONSITE?
While pre-registration highly recommended, a limited number of walk-in team registrations will be accepted onsite. Subject to availability. Registration will close at 5:50pm on August 5.
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept both credit cards and cash. You can pay using either method.
If you plan to register onsite, please arrive early so we can process your payment before the brackets lock!
