The BIG House
Michigan Stadium, affectionately known as "The Big House" by University of Michigan students, alumni, and fans across the world, is the largest stadium in the United States. The Big House, boasts a seating capacity of 107,601, but it has hosted crowds in excess of 115,000.
Gates to Michigan Stadium open two hours prior to kick-off. It is important to know what items you can and cannot bring inside of Michigan Stadium. Of particular note, bags (including purses, clear bags, fanny packs, crossbody bags, etc.) of any size are not allowed, and fans are encouraged to bring ONLY necessary items to football games at Michigan Stadium. All subjects and items are subject to search.

Ticketing help and visiting team will call is located inside Crisler Center, with access at the Northeast entry. The Crisler Center is located directly east of The Stadium on Stadium Blvd.
Tailgating
Tailgating is one of the best parts of football season! Take part in the tailgating experience before, during, or after the game. Make sure to get there early for the best spots. Some great places to tailgate:
- Ann Arbor Golf & Outing Club located directly south of the stadium
- University of Michigan Golf Course located directly south of the stadium
- Pioneer High School located southwest of the stadium
- U-M Athletic Department parking lots surrounding the stadium
Vehicles and RVs should vacate all lots within two hours after the game or vehicles will be towed.

Nearest Airport
Ann Arbor is only a 25 minute drive from Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW). There are many affordable options to get from DTW to Ann Arbor for the game. Learn more about getting here and getting around.
