Whether you're looking for wheelchair-friendly accommodations or sensory-friendly environments, you'll find trusted, reliable resources to plan your visit. This milestone enhances our community’s reputation, opens new growth opportunities for local businesses, and creates a more inclusive visitor experience for all.
Wheel the World Launch Event
We’re excited for you to join us in celebrating a major milestone for the Ann Arbor area! Destination Ann Arbor is hosting a special event to announce that Washtenaw County has officially achieved Destination Verified status with Wheel the World, a global leader in accessible tourism. The Ann Arbor area is proud to be the first community in Michigan to achieve Wheel the World’s 'Destination Verified' status, marking a major milestone in accessible tourism within the state.

- Location: Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, 220 E. Ann St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104
Event Timeline:
- 10-10:15am: Arrival and Check-In
- 10:15-10:30am: Press Conference
- 10:30am: Panel Discussion, followed by Networking and Reception
- 11:30am: Event Concludes
