Concerts & Music

Ann Arbor cultivates a thriving arts community, highlighted by the area’s concerts and music staples that return to town year after year, as well as local favorites and national names that come to the area every so often. Local concert venues like The Ark, home to folk and roots music, or the Blind Pig, offering a little bit of everything, are pillars of the live music and concert scene in the area. U-M’s University Musical Society brings in a vast and varied assortment of performers, connecting audiences and artists in uncommon and engaging experiences through the world’s best music, dance, and theater. Kerrytown Concert House is an intimate venue home to diverse offerings in performing arts, music concerts, and even art exhibitions. Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra has been a part of Ann Arbor’s cultural music life for over 90 years! There is always something new and exciting going on with the fine artists and excited audiences the house brings together.

As you plan your summer getaways and weekends in the Ann Arbor area, you won’t want to miss out on one of the area’s biggest celebrations of performing arts, culture, and community – the Ann Arbor Summer Festival.  A highlight of the summer months, the A2SF brings a long list of exciting performances, attractions, and so much more each June and July. Top of the Park is their outdoor program, featuring food carts, live music, nightly movie screenings, and so much more, while Main Stage is the indoor series, featuring ticketed performances of world-class music, dance, theater, and comedy.
