Gear Up and Go Outdoors

Winter Bonus: When it’s snowing, hit the hills at Veterans Park or drive to the popular sledding spot, Rolling Hills County Park in Ypsilanti with steep hills that make a thrilling ride.  

Open Skate Where the Wolverines Play

Catch a Michigan hockey game or bundle up and make the most of winter with friends at Yost Ice Arena’s open skating sessions. Show off your athleticism and skate where the nationally ranked University of Michigan hockey team plays. 

Feed your Cravings

Heat up with delicious dishes at restaurants serving hot ramen at Slurping Turtle or prepare your own meal over tabletop grills at Tomokun Korean BBQ. Try Bori pizzas and specialties with portions big enough to share with friends.

Learn Something New (that’s not on a midterm)

Ann Arbor is full of museums and things to do, perfect for exploring solo on winter days. Tour a museum you’ve never been to and challenge yourself to learn one new thing with each visit.   

Team up for Social Sports Indoors

Set up a game of friendly rivalry at Wolverine Pickleball and make your bets. May the best team win! At Coratti’s Bocce Ball & Kitchen, head upstairs and set up for a game. Order pizzas for the crew while you play.  


Claim the highest score

Whether you like classic air hockey or the newest arcade games, set up a fast-paced challenge for the ultimate showdown at Revel and Roll. Winner buys dinner! Drive or Uber to this bowling alley and arcade for a perfect indoor activity.  

 

Warm up and Wind Down

After an eventful outing and before calling it a night, it’s time to wind down and warm up in a cozy coffee shop like Hyperion with a hot latte. We also recommend trying the hot chocolate at Sweetwaters and Yemeni chai tea at Moka & Co.
