For many, the first thing that comes to mind upon hearing the word “Milan” is “Dragway,” since the town’s quarter mile asphalt strip – sanctioned by the International Hot Rod Association – has played host to races for years. But Milan also offers a huge, multi-day annual Music Festival in late summer; contains more than 200 acres of parkland; celebrates its agricultural roots by way of attractions like Wasem’s Fruit Farm, highlights its local history via the Hack House Museum and Old Milan Fire Barn (both listed on the National Register of Historic Places); and downtown Milan’s comic book store – called Adventure, Ink – serves as a welcoming gathering spot for gamers and geeks.
