Things To Do

For many, the first thing that comes to mind upon hearing the word “Milan” is “Dragway,” since the town’s quarter mile asphalt strip – sanctioned by the International Hot Rod Association – has played host to races for years. But Milan also offers a huge, multi-day annual Bluegrass Festival in late summer; contains more than 200 acres of parkland; celebrates its agricultural roots by way of attractions like Wasem’s Fruit Farm and Talladay Farms Corn Maze; highlights its local history via the Hack House Museum and Old Milan Fire Barn (both listed on the National Register of Historic Places); and downtown Milan’s comic book store – called Adventure, Ink – serves as a welcoming gathering spot for gamers and geeks.
