Restaurants

Dexter’s a place where you can have your cake – from the 100-year-old Dexter Bakery – and eat it, too, all while taking a scenic walk along Mill Creek. Of course, there are a number of more recent additions to Dexter’s culinary landscape, too, including a breakfast/lunch spot called Barred Rock Cafe; a casual dining hotspot known as the Fillmore; strip mall superstars Chela’s (Mexican food) and Sushi Time; the Dexter Creamery; the Dexter Riverside Cafe; the family-owned Red Brick Kitchen & Bar; downtown hangout Joe & Rosie Coffee & Tea; the Beer Grotto; and Hotel Hickman’s Chuckwagon BBQ, which aims to keep cowboy heritage alive by way of authentic chuckwagon cooking. These restaurants give visitors a wide variety of tasty options.
